Preschool (3 year olds) and Pre-K (4 year olds)
Where formal education for life begins!
At Bishop Leibold School, we believe that your student’s early learning experience sets the stage for their educational future and living a life of faith.
These programs are designed to assist with socialization skills, celebrate the first successes, introduce students to school based learning, and create a strong foundation for their faith journey.

Students have to be three years old and fully potty trained to start preschool.
Our Preschool and PreK programs are designed to help children develop and learn. You will find students working on centers such as dramatic and sensory play, art, music, library, and writing. Students participate in large and small group activities, outdoor play, Bible stories, and daily prayer.
OUTDOOR PLAY
It is important for students to move and explore each day. Playing, running, jumping, climbing and nature walks outside are important to children’s development and well being. Our students get dedicated recess time as well as class time outdoors.

RELIGION
We introduce religion to our youngest students through the
Fruits of the Spirit. We learn about acting out our faith and encourage them to treat each other with kindness and discuss
ways we can serve others. We celebrate our Catholic faith and include prayer daily, along with teaching about Catholic traditions and celebrations.
STEM
Our youngest learners get to explore the world around them through STEM-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We offer children the opportunity to develop problem-solving skills while working in groups.
SPANISH
We introduce the basics of the Spanish language to our Preschool and PreK students. They begin to learn colors, shapes, numbers, days of the week, and months of the year in Spanish.
ART
We designate a space for students to create and experience their world through art. We use a wide variety of materials including nontraditional materials like items found in nature and recycled materials. We focus on guiding, strengthening, and offering a safe space for them to explore and grow.
MUSIC
In the Preschool and PreK classrooms, children artfully experience music through song tales, call-and-response music, finger plays, and rhyming songs. Our students express themselves through music and dance allowing children to enhance fine and gross motor skills.
