Greetings from Bishop Leibold School!

Our school’s history is rich and long. We were preceded by Our Lady of Good Hope and St. Henry Schools until the consolidation in 1974 when we became Bishop Leibold School. We proudly embraced being named for a person who grew up in Dayton and graduated from Chaminade High School and the University of Dayton, was ordained in 1940 and served as the Archbishop of the Cincinnati Archdiocese. In researching Bishop Leibold upon my arrival last year, I was struck by the fact that he was described as a committed but humble leader. “Like Jesus,” he said, “my role is to be witness to Christ for all and perform my office meekly and humbly and in service to others.”

I am proud to say that the current state of Bishop Leibold School is a wonderful model of service to others as we partner with our families and parishes to achieve our mission which is---”To develop our baptismal call to serve God’s people through prayer, service and action.” I have seen a prolific amount and quality of service projects led by students and their families and our school staff. We now refer to this collective effort as “The Leibold Force” while complimenting our students for their service and connecting it to answering our baptismal call. It is powerful for all of us to consider how much impact The Leibold Force can have on those we serve.

Also, I have been hearing a very positive message from graduates and the high schools they have attended that Bishop Leibold students are prepared well academically, have a personal relationship with God AND have a zeal for serving others.

We have begun a project intended to extend The Leibold Force by reconnecting with our graduates, parent and grandparents of our graduates, former staff and other friends of Bishop Leibold. We plan to share a newsletter several times per year to keep you informed of our current successes, future plans and to include personal updates from you to help you reconnect with your fellow classmates.

Please help us by taking the time to fill out the form found here

Thank you in advance for helping us reconnect with you and others.

Sincerely,
